Hey guys, I'm back on the blog. I've been away working on a few things and can't wait to show you some new content. To get things started for the first post of the year, I recently caught up with fashion designer Saxton Taylor, Who's recently launched his own brand Days Before. Check out my interview with him below!
VogueWonders: Who are you and what do you do?
Day Before: Hey I’m Saxton Taylor, I’m 21 years old and I’m a fashion designer from Kansas City MO
VogueWonders: When did you start getting into fashion?
Days Before: I wasn’t really into Fashion until my twin introduced me, I’ve been into it since early 2000’s. Fashion has always been there especially at High School. I got a few compliments, many people said to me back in High School that I was influential in school and fashion, it made me feel good with what I was doing and the brand.
VogueWonders: What Inspired you to start Days Before?
Days Before: Well, back in school I never knew what I wanted to do, but then one day someone came up to me and asked me “Don’t you want to start a brand?” So, I thought about it and I went to college the Art Institution of Hollywood, man I loved it there, people motivated me and it made me want to just carry on! I progressed from there onwards.
VogueWonders: So, when was the brand officially established and how did you come up with the name ‘Days Before’?
Days Before: I Officially started in 2015 but my first official release was mid-2016. The name is Days Before I came up with it when working on project in school. I was reading a booking and so many combinations of before and days kept coming up so I switched it and wrote ‘Days Before’ …Since then I just kept the name.
VogueWonders: Who are the main inspirations behind the brand?
Days Before: My main inspirations are people like Kanye West, Vivienne Westwood because they all represent a Rockstar in their modern eras. They all present something great, they’re just great…They keep me going that’s the kind of level I want to be at, I inspire people too.
VogueWonders: What’s the aim, where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Days Before: To be an established fashion designer, to be something that is highly regarded as Balenciaga. I really want to push forward.
VogueWonders: How long has it taken you to get a product out at full confidence?
Days Before: I didn’t want to release a product until I had a full collection, I wanted to see how far I could get or see if people were really interested in what I was doing, it’s going to be more than one piece and more to choose from. I believe more attention will be bought to my brand.
VogueWonders: Are there any collaborations within the Fashion world you would like to see happen?
Days Before: After Supreme X Louis Vuitton, man that was historical. I’d like to see Dior and Gucci, bringing a street brand with a high end, ideas are endless. The Louis collaboration was amazing to me…Just how two worlds collide and create one piece, that was beyond real.
VogueWonders: Finally, for anyone out there starting a brand, what’s the best advice you can give?
Days Before: The best advice I believe is to never go with the first idea, my first idea for a silhouette was terrible, beyond terrible and I even had a friend say it. It was constructive criticism and he knew that I could do better. I went out and tried my best to create more. You want to make sure that everything you create is top of the line. My first idea was so terrible it made me want to be more successful, destroy all previous imagination to create new work.

Thank you, Arooj x
Studying in Nottingham, I feel like I don't really explore the city as much as I should. Walking through the City Centre, pretty Christmas markets, bright lights...what not better to catch the views from the top floor of a 13-storey car park?!
Hitting winter, you know that wearing super oversized hoodies is the one, you can literally just drown in them! I was as cosy as ever in this one from Ratchet Clothing, the fabric and tone of the hoodie is what gets me the most! What's not to love?
Going for the full menswear look I paired this with a graphic print tee from H&M, black skinny jeans and tan Chelsea boots.
Check out Ratchet at: http://ratchetclothing.co.uk/ and get prepping for Christmas!
Until next time...
Hey guys, I'm back! After taking a 2 month break out of blogging, I have a lot of things lined up, VogueWonders is changing! For the past few weeks I have been working on new ideas and changing the theme of this blog. I will slowly be moving to a fully menswear/unisex blog, also touching down on the music scene in which you can view by clicking on the 'discover' tab!
To start off this new venture, here's a collaboration with &BLANC, an independent Nottingham based brand.
&BLANC stock a range of fashion brands such as Alpha Industries, Études, Han Kjøbenhavn, Happy Socks, Karim Maher, Libertine - Libertine, and Wood Wood. In this collab I'm wearing a gorgeous Denim Jacket by Han Kjøbenhavn.
This is an absolute staple piece for your wardrobe, the details and quality on the jacket is amazing featuring a removable Velcro white 'V' detailing, branded button fasting, and not to mention the cut on this is perfect, fitting to your body shape.
I simply styled this with Dr Martens; Denim and Cherry Dr Martens is always a winner, such a good combo, I chose to layer this by wearing a white net vest top and an oversized a longline grey shirt from ZARA. This was completed with straight leg trousers also from ZARA.
If you’re around Nottingham, visiting the store is a must!

Thanks, Arooj xo
Who says girls can't wear suits?
Another blog post, another collaboration, I couldn't be more grateful!
The lovely team at Bright Light PR sent me the most gorgeous pair of Marco Tozzi shoes, these fit perfectly with any smart outfit. I have to say this has to be one of my favourite collaborations!
Marco Tozzi have just launched their AW16 collection and their new styles are a must have. With such a range to chose from, such as trainers, brogues, heels and more, they are the perfect shoe brand to get you geared up for the new season.
I chose to style the shoes by wearing a suit, featuring a blazer and shirt from ZARA, and men's cropped suit trousers from New Look. To accessorize I played it safe and simply wore a choker from Topshop and carried a man bag which is the perfect size to fit all your essentials when you're on the go!
Winter is near and it's time I started preparing for the new season, this week I'm so excited to be collaborating with ASOS on their New Season project!
Now if you know me you'll already know I own so many jackets and coats, I'm such a collector...you can never have too many! I love the fact that this coat is over sized and long line, It's super comfy and i'm 100% it'll do the prefect job of keeping me warm on those cold winter days.
I chose to style this very simple wearing a jumper and trousers from ZARA, paired with grey trainers by Android Homme. Personally I wouldn't style the coat with anything too bright as that is a statement piece itself!
You can check the out new season products at www.asos.com or purchase to purchase this coat, follow the direct link at http://m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/asos/asos-coat-in-oversized-check/prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6676909&clr=Multi&SearchQuery=&cid=20238&pgesize=44&pge=0&totalstyles=44&gridsize=2&gridrow=1&gridcolumn=1&un_jtt_application_platform=newPlp&un_jtt_redirect
I'm super excited to be featuring my first ever collaboration with ASOS on the blog. Since starting the blog two years ago, I never would have imagined working with such a huge and highly respected brand. I'm so grateful!
In a new campaign, i was lucky enough to be selected for the ASOS X NIKE Cortez project in which I was gifted with the coolest old school Nike trainers! I styled them with a Puma sweatshirt, regular black skinny jeans and a mandarin collar shirt by La Moda, from ASOS.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the blog so far. It means a lot!

More collaborations, new locations. While the sun was out, walking around Nottingham with Alicia, we visited Cobden Chambers. With the coolest backdrops, this was the perfect location to shoot for the outfit I was wearing.
I was overwhelmed when I was contacted by Rad, them asking to me to be a blogger ambassador, they also kindly sent me one of the coolest Bowie shirts!
I paired the shirt with a custom distressed denim jacket from 'Just Another Lost Child' by 'Arthur Tumbare. JALC was found in 2014.
I finished the look with black skinny jeans and DR martens, customizing with a leather clutch from Topshop and sunnies from River Island.
Hey guys, It has been a while since I blogged an outfit post, however I'm back! In a new collaboration with Bellfied I was sent the most comfiest grey Leighton joggers, the fabric on these are so soft, they would make great lounge wear!
in terms of styling, I thought I'd challenge this and style the item up smart. I paired the joggers with a black twill shirt from Topman and a men's oversized vintage blazer by Tommy Hilfiger from We Are Cow. Keeping the look simple i matched the outfit with pastel beige shoes from ZARA and a leather bag from Topshop. This is literally a full mans outfit, minus the shoes and clutch...who says you can't make menswear look feminine?

Presents from Berlin! Just before the New Year I received the most gorgeous gift from Watch BandIt.
Watch Bandit are a Berlin based company offering the world’s finest watches, watch bands and bracelets. Their site has a collection of different beautiful accessories for both men and women, perfect for any occasion.
I got the Black Leather, Rose Gold Anchor Bracelet. It features a rose gold plated anchor, fine Italian leather and an adjustable length which is just perfect!
This accessory stands out yet it's minimal and goes with absolutely everything, you can't go wrong! I love the simple look of black and then the touch of rose gold. It's so sophisticated

You really can't go wrong with monochrome! Avenue A recently sent me the most beautiful knit scarf and black jumper. If you haven't heard of the brand, they are an online ladies fashion boutique who stocks a range of different brands.
Wearing Avenue A's black textured jumper, I paired this with their chunky knit scarf which is just new is stock; this is definitely something to get your hands on this season, it keeps me super warm, I love it!
Keeping the look dark, I wore black skinny trousers from New Look and a long grey coat from ZARA. I completed the look with Dare black Chelsea boots from Schuh. Following my last blog post, I think these are my all time favourite shoes I own. Not only do they match with everything, they are so comfy!
Finally, to accessorise I carried a handbag from Fiorelli - This is the perfect student bag, big enough for all your books and even a laptop, it's so convenient and super stylish, you can't go wrong!

Long leather coats are the one, especially when it's vintage. Passed down from my aunt, this was a big hit in the 90's during her college days. The leather jacket is perfect with this outfit and a great winter piece!
In this post I am extremely excited to be collaborating with two amazing brands, both of who I am a huge fan of, Schuh and Bellfield!
Wearing a chunky grey knitted jumper from Bellfied, I paired it with a long sleeve burgundy check shirt also from Bellfield. There were many different ways I could have styled this, for example, wearing the shirt under the jumper or even on top, however I wanted to keep this look super casual and not smarten it up too much!
Continuing to keep it simple, I matched the jumper and shirt with regular black skinny jeans from New Look and a long brown leather coat. To complete the look I finished with the most gorgeous black Chelsea boots from Schuh.
I have literally been after pointy shiny Chelsea boots for so long, and now I finally have them thanks to Schuh! This was a #GiftingSorted Christmas present from them, putting the biggest smile on my face; the PR's are the sweetest people ever!
Be sure to check out Bellfied at http://www.bellfieldclothing.com/ where they have a range of beautiful winter knits and coats. You can also follow them at @bellfieldclo to keep up with any new updates.

New season, new trends. It's time to wrap up! Autumn is probably one of my favourite seasons. Woolly knits, long coats, chelsea boots and scarf's. My layer game is going to be strong.
I was extremely overwhelmed when I was contacted by Native Youth in regards to a collaboration. Not only have I been following their brand for ages, I absolutely what they do and how far they have come.
Going for a smart sophisticated AW15 look, I wore regular black high waisted skinny jeans from Primark, pairing it with black leather heeled boots from Topshop. With that I matched an azetc(ish) print jumper from Native Youth. This particular print is the motif trend that always pops up at this time of year, you can't go wrong!
To finish the look I wore a longline brushed overcoat in camel, also from Native Youth. The length, fabric and fit on this coat is so on point, I love how it keeps me super warm! Keeping my accessories to a minimum, I simply added a Galliano silk print scarf and carried a leather clutch bag from Topshop.
Native Youth is available in select speciality stores and department stores in over 30 countries worldwide; including Japan, UK, USA and South Korea.
Get shopping for your AW wardrobe by checking out http://www.native-youth.com/ where you'll see a range of beautiful clothing from; long-line bombers, jacquard knits, high-necks and those perfect oversized garms!

It has been a good few weeks since my last post! I have been incredibly busy settling into uni and exploring a whole new city. Checking my emails earlier this week, I was really excited to see an email LF Markey. I absolutely love this brand and what they do; their sense of creativity is shown in all their garments.
If you haven't already heard of the brand I'm 100% sure you've probably unknowingly come across them! LF Markey is a fashion label that makes beautiful clothes for practical women. Their clothing is bold, detailed and very simple. They are currently stocked in the Goodhood Store in Shoreditch, London and the designer floor at Urban Outfitters.
In this look I paired the LF Markey Alexi Bomber jacket with a velvet detailed sweatshirt from Mango. Keeping the look bold I wore that with regular black skinny jeans from Primark and black brogues from Topshop. To finish the look I carried a small backpack I bought from a vintage store in Leeds a few years ago.
What I love about this bomber jacket is how quirky and different it is. It has its own look with mixed fabrics consisting of a creamy wool body, denim pockets and black furry Sherpa sleeves. Check out LF Markey at http://lfmarkey.com/ or even purchase the Alexi Bomber at http://lfmarkey.com/products/alexi-bomber-jacket
You can also follow @LFMARKEY on Twitter & Instagram to keep up to date with new releases.
I'm so excited to be collaborating with my favs, Whistle Blower clothing. I have been following their brand for a while now and I'm a huge fan of what they do
To be honest I'm not a person that usually goes for bright colours, but the melon short sleeve mesh jumper from Whistle Blower's AW15' collection is perfect for the upcoming season. It's stylish, warm, comfortable and very different. This can be styled however you want. I chose to wear a collarless shirt from ASOS underneath the jumper adding a white effect; I paired this with black baggy pants from ZARA and white Moorgate brogues from ASOS. Finally to accessorise I carried a white satchel with black detail from Topshop.
This look really didn't need further accessories or additions. The jumper itself is a statement piece. I also wanted to keep the colour palette very simple (White, yellow and black) as I didn't want anything to look too over the top.
What I love about the jumper is that the quality is absolutely amazing! Like it's not a typical normal jumper, it's a lot more than that. It feels so rich and good. You can tell the fabric is long lasting & the jumper won't wear out easily
So why not grab it now as it has just reduced from £45 to £15! There's a huge sale on at the moment, go check it out at http://www.whistleblowerclothing.co.uk/shop/ and shop their new collection which includes the melon short sleeve jumper available in grey & a range of beautiful bomber jackets & tee's.
Have a lovely week!
As if it's June already! It's crazy how fast this year is going, however summertime is fast approaching and it's my favourite time of year! You probably know I love my dark colours & like to keep it pretty simple. Today's look of the day features a white shirt by Vera Moda which I bought online from ASOS. I love this, it's collarless and has two large pockets on each side. I paired the shirt with a two tone black jacket from SkinnieBelle and basic black skinny jeans from Primark.
Completing the look I wore the most gorgeous white leather sandals from Schuh. I have to admit...I'm not really a sandal person, but these were a purchase I had to make. Just look at them, they're so perfect for this season and you can wear it with almost anything, whether it's shorts, a skirt or dress!
Finally to accessorize, I carried a mustard colour shoulder bag by Jane Shilton and wore the Balance Antique Silver Gemstone Ring' and the 'Eleana Sun Stars Above Knuckle Ring' both from Regal Rose, available at http://www.regalrose.co.uk/ along with some other beautiful jewellery which is definitely worth checking out!
