COSY FITS X DAYS BEFORE

Hey guys, I'm back on the blog. I've been away working on a few things and can't wait to show you some new content. To get things started for the first post of the year, I recently caught up with fashion designer Saxton Taylor, Who's recently launched his own brand Days Before. Check out my interview with him below!

VogueWonders: Who are you and what do you do?

Day Before: Hey I’m Saxton Taylor, I’m 21 years old and I’m a fashion designer from Kansas City MO

VogueWonders: When did you start getting into fashion?

Days Before: I wasn’t really into Fashion until my twin introduced me, I’ve been into it since early 2000’s. Fashion has always been there especially at High School. I got a few compliments, many people said to me back in High School that I was influential in school and fashion, it made me feel good with what I was doing and the brand.

VogueWonders: What Inspired you to start Days Before?

Days Before: Well, back in school I never knew what I wanted to do, but then one day someone came up to me and asked me “Don’t you want to start a brand?” So, I thought about it and I went to college the Art Institution of Hollywood, man I loved it there, people motivated me and it made me want to just carry on! I progressed from there onwards.

VogueWonders: So, when was the brand officially established and how did you come up with the name ‘Days Before’?

Days Before: I Officially started in 2015 but my first official release was mid-2016. The name is Days Before I came up with it when working on project in school. I was reading a booking and so many combinations of before and days kept coming up so I switched it and wrote ‘Days Before’ …Since then I just kept the name.

VogueWonders: Who are the main inspirations behind the brand?

Days Before: My main inspirations are people like Kanye West, Vivienne Westwood because they all represent a Rockstar in their modern eras. They all present something great, they’re just great…They keep me going that’s the kind of level I want to be at, I inspire people too.

VogueWonders: What’s the aim, where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Days Before: To be an established fashion designer, to be something that is highly regarded as Balenciaga. I really want to push forward.

VogueWonders: How long has it taken you to get a product out at full confidence?

Days Before: I didn’t want to release a product until I had a full collection, I wanted to see how far I could get or see if people were really interested in what I was doing, it’s going to be more than one piece and more to choose from. I believe more attention will be bought to my brand.

VogueWonders: Are there any collaborations within the Fashion world you would like to see happen?

Days Before: After Supreme X Louis Vuitton, man that was historical. I’d like to see Dior and Gucci, bringing a street brand with a high end, ideas are endless. The Louis collaboration was amazing to me…Just how two worlds collide and create one piece, that was beyond real.

VogueWonders: Finally, for anyone out there starting a brand, what’s the best advice you can give?

Days Before: The best advice I believe is to never go with the first idea, my first idea for a silhouette was terrible, beyond terrible and I even had a friend say it. It was constructive criticism and he knew that I could do better. I went out and tried my best to create more. You want to make sure that everything you create is top of the line. My first idea was so terrible it made me want to be more successful, destroy all previous imagination to create new work.

Winter is near and it's time I started preparing for the new season, this week I'm so excited to be collaborating with ASOS on their New Season project!

Now if you know me you'll already know I own so many jackets and coats, I'm such a collector...you can never have too many! I love the fact that this coat is over sized and long line, It's super comfy and i'm 100% it'll do the prefect job of keeping me warm on those cold winter days.

I chose to style this very simple wearing a jumper and trousers from ZARA, paired with grey trainers by Android Homme. Personally I wouldn't style the coat with anything too bright as that is a statement piece itself!

You can check the  out new season products at www.asos.com or purchase to purchase this coat, follow the direct link at http://m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/asos/asos-coat-in-oversized-check/prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6676909&clr=Multi&SearchQuery=&cid=20238&pgesize=44&pge=0&totalstyles=44&gridsize=2&gridrow=1&gridcolumn=1&un_jtt_application_platform=newPlp&un_jtt_redirect

Hey guys, It has been a while since I blogged an outfit post, however I'm back! In a new collaboration with Bellfied I was sent the most comfiest grey Leighton joggers, the fabric on these are so soft, they would make great lounge wear!

in terms of styling, I thought I'd challenge this and style the item up smart. I paired the joggers with a black twill shirt from Topman and a men's oversized vintage blazer by Tommy Hilfiger from We Are Cow. Keeping the look simple i matched the outfit with pastel beige shoes from ZARA and a leather bag from Topshop. This is literally a full mans outfit, minus the shoes and clutch...who says you can't make menswear look feminine?

Be sure to check out bellfied at http://www.bellfieldclothing.com/ & follow their Instagram: bellfieldclo to keep up with any updates, Shop the look below!

New season, new trends. It's time to wrap up! Autumn is probably one of my favourite seasons. Woolly knits, long coats, chelsea boots and scarf's. My layer game is going to be strong.

I was extremely overwhelmed when I was contacted by Native Youth in regards to a collaboration. Not only have I been following their brand for ages, I absolutely what they do and how far they have come.

Going for a smart sophisticated AW15 look, I wore regular black high waisted skinny jeans from Primark, pairing it with black leather heeled boots from Topshop.  With that I matched an azetc(ish) print jumper from Native Youth. This particular print is the motif trend that always pops up at this time of year, you can't go wrong!

To finish the look I wore a longline brushed overcoat in camel, also from Native Youth. The length, fabric and fit on this coat is so on point, I love how it keeps me super warm! Keeping my accessories to a minimum, I simply added a Galliano silk print scarf and carried a leather clutch bag from Topshop.

Native Youth is available in select speciality stores and department stores in over 30 countries worldwide; including Japan, UK, USA and South Korea.

Get shopping for your AW wardrobe by checking out http://www.native-youth.com/ where you'll see a range of beautiful clothing from; long-line bombers, jacquard knits, high-necks and those perfect oversized garms!

Also be sure to follow @Native_Youth on Twitter and Instagram keeping up with any new updates!
