VOID are two-piece band, without revealing their full identity they simply go by their first initials naming themselves as C & W. The band raise awareness through music and art, expressing themselves in areas such as with mental health and coping with anxiety. Check out my blog feature with VOID in their first ever interview, you heard it all here first!

VogueWonders: Hey for those who are unaware, let’s start with a quick intro! Who are you and what are you about?

VOID: What’s up, we’re VOID and we are a two-piece band from the UK. Through our music and our message, we plan to help raise awareness and eradiate the negative stigmas that are attached to Mental Health Issues such as Depression and Anxiety. We also hope to help sufferers realize its ok not to be ok. We are a message lead , Fashion lead , Visual Lead band.

VogueWonders: What made you start V0ID?

VOID: We met at a few gigs we were both performing at and got chatting over a few pints. We had One of those deep chats you have outside in the cold near the end of the night after a few haha. we chatted about the difficulties we both face in our heads. We kind of reached a place of clarity and wanted to create a band were we could say whatever the fuck we wanted. We could give out positive vibes but at the same time help ourselves by writing whatever came into our heads, or writing whatever we wanted to get out of our heads.

We wanted to create an art form that can help people of any age. A lot of people experience and feel the same feelings we do, and a lot of people need that lifeline others can’t necessarily give. If we can create a family of people who all feel the same way and who have experienced and lived with the same problem, we will have created network where there is a level of empathy, support and experience to help those who need it. That to us is unbeatable. If we can create that with our music, our message and our visual we will die happy.

VogueWonders: How many of you is there in the group?

VOID: Two of us. C & W.

VogueWonders: Your videos are very artsy and creative, who produces your art work?

VOID: We both produce our artwork and It’s all done on our phones. The only thing that is done on a laptop is our Music. We both work pretty much full time so it’s all done on the go. I tend to sneak into the toilet at work mid shift when I believe we are lacking content or something pops into my mind when serving a knob of a customer.

But yeah we do it all ourselves!

VogueWonders: You tend to not show your faces in your cover videos/images, is there a reason for this?

VOID: With the message, we want to get across, we don’t want people to like us because we are good looking (Not that we are although our mums tell us we are). We want people to concentrate on the message we are trying to put across, our style and our art. We think that part of the music scene now is shallow when it comes to looks. Someone who is a good looker but can’t hold a tune and writes about suspenseless crap is successful but some of the most talented musicians and songwriters have nothing.

We want to steal the music back from the eyes and give music back to the ears. Some Robin Hood style Sh*t

VogueWonders: Describe your music genre…

VOID: We will let the listeners do the describing. We think our genre will change from ear to ear. Its very early days for us. We don’t want to pigeon hole our sound; we want it to evolve and grow. Change when we do mentally and when we feel different ways. We both have very different yet similar musical influences and tastes so we hope it makes for an interesting listen.

VogueWonders: Do you have any music releasing soon?

VOID: We are grafting hard right now working together to create some strong tunes. We released our first track on YouTube, which is a little taste of what’s to come its not perfect but we wanted people to catch the vibe. Maybe you will get a release a lot quicker then you think.

VogueWonders: What’s your aim with V0ID?

VOID: Our main aim is to help people who need help but have no one to turn too. Our aim is for people to like our music and to appreciate and understand the message we are trying to portray. We want to meet every single person who puts faith in us and put on one hell of a show for them all. We are already blown away by the amount of support we have received its mind blowing. So thanks everyone who has shown some love so far.

VogueWonders: What do you think of the current music scene now, anything you would change?

VOID: We sit and listen to the radio and hear the same songs  we heard a year ago. The same songs on nearly every radio station, We want to start hearing more new music, New artists, Real music about real things . Hearing music about fast cars, naked women and money is starting to get on our tits.

VogueWonders: Are there any musicians or producers you can see yourself working with?

VOID: There are so many talented producers and songwriters around at the minute that we’d be honoured to work with creatively. Frank Ocean is on top of his game, The 1975 are also smashing it right now , Twenty One Pilots are also a massive influence. We are quite big Grime Fans too , The cleanliness and clinical perfection you hear in grime music is next to none. Linkin Park Would be pretty cool as they are our childhood jams.

VogueWonders: Finally, any advice for young musicians out there?

VOID: Be You , Don’t let anyone tell you that you cant do it. When they do, Prove them wrong. Stay Strong. You have success running through you. It’s a not a matter of it might happen. It’s a matter of it will happen, Big Love

There's huge stuff coming up for these two! Be sure to follow VOID on Twitter @V0ID__ and Instagram @ for any updates!
